I know that summer is truly here. Today I sat outside at my picnic table sipping ice tea. As most of you know here in the south we love our sweet ice tea. I grow mint in my yard and I like to add that and a lemon slice to mine and serve it in a chilled mug over cracked ice. Oh is it so good!!!!

As I sat there I was entertained by three squirrels. They were jumping from tree limb to tree limb. They were having a blast as was I watching them. Next along came two cardinals and they tried to eat me out of house and home.

All was blissful in my world. I sat thinking how blessed we are to have a God who gives us the gifts of the seasons and all the creations he made.

Then my Granddaughter came and we went to a surprise end of the school year party of one of her friends. There was lots of laughter and children running about and playing. Our friend Phyllis at http://shabbyinthecity.blogspot.com was able to attend for a short while. Again I was reminded of how good our Lord is. Sweet children playing and our Phyllis with her beautiful smile. Once again my world was filled with bliss.

I love days when everything feels right with the world. Nature and God's little creatures always remind me how great his creations are, and there is nothing sweeter than the sound of little children laughing and playing. Have a lovely day. Karn

How wonderful to take the time and just bask in His creation! I haven't been outside yet, but I do watch the squirrels from my family room window. Two were cavorting in the tree and one of them fell out of the tree!! He sat up and rubbed his head a little, and then his playmate joined him on the ground and they scampered away.

Spring is my favorite time of year, I think. As the flowers begin to unfurl, and the blooming begins, it like God's promise to us of what's to come.

Thanks for sharing your afternoon outside. It was a "delicious" description!!

Today I worked in the flower gardens watering and miracle growing, pulling weeds and marveled at how blessed I was to be able to do this! What a beautiful day we had today, too...low humidity and it hit 90 at 5 pm...could do with a bit less of the 90's lol

Your post reminds of being thank for the simple everyday things. I too enjoy my sweet tea with mint and lemon and often it is sipped outside in God's garden as I marvel at His creation. I bet the children's laughter was just icing on the cake! Have a great weekend!
