I am Thankful For --------

The Lord has given me much to be thankful for this year!!!

As you know my husband has many health issues. The Lord has walked every mile of these problems with me, most of the time he carried me along the path. I am so grateful he was able to retire early and we have saved enough to live off of until May. We then we be able to draw his retirement.

My Lord loves me and I so do not deserve all of the Blessings he bestows upon me. He is so good!!

My child ( my youngest daughter) is going through a rough time now. On Oct. 20 th her little girl was stillborn. The results showed she had a heart defect. This was in the early morning hours on the day my husband had his last surgery. This is and has been a very hard time for all of us. Please remember my daughter in your prayers. She is doing a wonderful job of caring for her other children. She is not finding the joy of the season this year and she has always loved Christmas!! I am thankful for my child and that I am able to be there when she needs me . I am thankful she was raised in a Christian home and is relaying upon God to see her through.

I am thankful that my older son has a good job now and is turning his life around. My younger son is working hard and is near as we can help him when he needs us.

I am thankful that we were able to gather at my 79 year old Mother's home for a good meal and an awesome time of fellowship.

I am thankful for each of you who have seen us through all the hard times of the past year and have lifted us up in prayer, sent me notes of encouragement, and have been by my side.

Cold

It is cold here tonight in Kentucky. When you go outside the air has a chill to it. The wind is whispering that winter is on it's way.

Birds are chirping in the tree looking for food. Time to fill the feeders as there is not much they can forge for. Flowers are all gone and the crops have been harvested.

Bubbles

Happy Thursday Ladies!!!

I went to doctor today and he told me I had bubbles in my ears. I had never heard this before. I have so much fluid behind my eardrums that it is causing bubbles. Of course my husband had fun with this.


I took a turkey to a needy family yesterday for Thanksgiving. When I was giving this to the Mom her little 3 year old touched the Turkey and said, " my chicken, my chicken."


God gives us Blessing when least expect it!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot Tea

Happiness today is a cup of hot tea with honey and lemon. My hubby is taking care of me as I am sick. I have a 1o1 temp and feel as though my head is going to explode.

TODAY!!!

Today I am thankful for the smile on a little boy's face when I gave him a turkey to color in Sunday school. Then for the big hug he gave me as we were going into church and the one I got during church,

Have you ever had a child that was not your own that made you glad you got up that Morning!! He is so sweet he makes my heart sing. He has so very little himself and gives so much to others.

His smile lights up my life and the sweet prayers he says fills my soul with much joy!!!!!!

This child is a true gift to all he encounters. God is so awesome!!!!

Happiness is------

Ladies I want to share some good news with you. My husband retired from work last Wednesday.

We are so happy to begin this new phase of our lives. We are very close and really enjoy spending time alone.

We have varied interests. My husband said today he was having fun!!


As the days go by I have lots to share with you. I went to a Holiday cooking show the other day and have some really good recipes to share with all of you.

Smiles to all of you!!

Today my husband had to go to the hospital, again for more test. He had to wait 3 1/2 hours to get back to take his tests and then the time it took to take the test. In keeping with my theme of sharing kind acts this month I prayed for all the others who were waiting. I engaged some in conversation. smiled at others, helped a young Mother care for her 3 small children.

It is amazing how God can use us if we allow him too. I took a very boring time and tried to make it better for others and in doing so made it better for me.
