Ham!!!!
Sunday I baked a ham for dinner. When our children were little we would have ham for Sunday dinner. Then the next day we would have ham sandwiches and tomato soup. Then I would take the ham and cut all the meat off the bone, then Idiced it and potatoes and an onion together. I put all of this in a large skillet and cover it with enough water to cook. Then add salt and pepper to taste, Simmer all then just before it is done add one teaspoon of butter. I call this dish ham hash. I serve it with a skillet of homemade cornbread dripping in butter. I also saved the ham bone to season apot of pinto beans. This brrought back alot of good memories! I can see my children running in and out asking if it was done yet I am so thankful that God gave us the ability to store such memories . My oldest child is 34now with another 32 and another 30 and the BABY is 27. When they come home they still run in and out asking is it done yet.

When I think of ham I think of my daddy for two reasons! He was our ham baker and slicer and he was also a 'ham' you know...a funny person!
Do you like this one better? The boys said I made you an ugly one the first time!
