Oct. 31 st

Tomorrow is Halloween and I am looking everywhere for my pumpkin. he seemed to have rolled away. I have been looking high and low for him all day.

First I looked in the back yard. There he was rolling around in the leaves. I said to him it is time to come in. We need to carve him a face. He just laughed at me. Not yet he says, I am having too much fun.
Then he rolled away.

Next I walked down the street. All my neighbors houses are decorated for Halloween. There are corn stalks, mums in radiant colors, gourds of all shapes and sizes, pumpkins of orange, white, and green, some even with warts line my neighbors yards. No where is my pumpkin to be found.

I turn toward the old school house. I hear giggles behind me. I turn around, no one is there. I get the feeling someone, or something is following me. I keep walking as I get closer the giggles get louder, and seem to be coming from more than one place. I see lights coming from the old school house as get closer. I approach with much caution. It seems the entire building is lit up. There has been no electricity in here for over 50 years. I tiptoe up to the door and slowly push it open. Inside are hundreds, no thousands of jack-o-lanterns. They are swaying and playing to the spooky music of Halloween. In the corner set my pumpkin.

Are you ready to go??? Yes I am, I have, had fun and now I am ready to greet all the trick-or-treaters.

Happy

Halloween!!!!!

One little, two little, three little witches
Fly over haystacks and fly over ditches
Fly over moonbeams without any hitches
Hey, it's Halloween night.

Fly over barb wire and tore their britches
