The Wearing of the Green

It is the wearing of the Green for March 17Th St. Patrick's Day

Do you remember when you were in school that if you did not have on Green on St. Paddy's Day you got pinched???

One year we surprised our Daughters with small green corsages to wear to school. They loved them and had so much fun with them.

Tomorrow I am cooking the cabbage and new red potatoes for our dinner. As we do not like corned beef I am cooking a small pork tenderloin. I have always cooked the potatoes and cabbage for St. Paddy's day.

What will you be doing??? Do you wear green, dye your hair green, cook some special foods. It is a fun day!!

I wish all of you a Great Tomorrow!!!!

Hi Daisy, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too... I have an Irish connection. You will have to read my blog tomorrow.

We will definitely wear green (so we won't get pinched) --and we'll have our cabbage and corned beef. YUM!!!!

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Good Morning mary,
"HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY"to you also. I have a green shirt on and my pajama bottoms have some green in them. Both the girls wore some greesn to School also. I remember if you didn't wear green to School you would get pinched on St. Paddy's DAy. I always tried to wear green since I didn't want to get pinched. I thouht about cooking some cabbage, but our girls don'e like it, so I guess I won't be doing any Irish cooking today. We will probably have leftover Chicken Noodle Soup and sandwiches for our supper tonight. Take care my friend and have a great day. May GOD Bless you and yours.
Love,
Karen H.
