I Am Cold!!

I am feeling much better. I was able to attend a church meeting this morning. I am still not pushing it as my blood pressure is still somewhat high. The meds. are bringing it down and we need to keep it there. I am watching what I eat. I had to be careful with the salt as it is one of my downfalls.

It is very cold here in Kentucky. It is in the 20 somethings now and by Thursday night is suppose to be in the single digits. That is cold!!!!!! I am hoping for some snow. I want to curl up in the corner with a good book and stay warm.

I have so many things I want to do. The Sunday after Christmas (before I got sick) my friend Jean and I went to her daughter's home and picked up pecans. These are big beautiful pecans. I cannot wait to shell them . I have Jean's recipe for pecan pie and when I can have nuts again I will be making it.

I also want to make some Valentine's for my family, friends and a swap I am in.

I have some books that were given to me recently and I want to read them all now!!! So you see I must get better as I have lots to do. Oh I forgot there is the cooking, washing and cleaning. How did I forget such important things??? LOL!!!

Good thing that the weather is going to cooperate with you...that's cold anywhere.

Have you tried sea salt, Mary? One uses much, much less because it is so flavorful one only needs a little.

Keep feeling better...

Mary,

Ha! Forget the scrubbing and cleaning and get yourself well. As Grandma used to say, it will all be here long after we're gone.

Enjoy the pecans and have fun making the Valentine cards.

Blessings,
Mary

Oh Mary, I'm so glad you are starting to feel a bit better. You must still take it easy and in this cold weather it's a good time to pamper yourself.

You just take it easy and get yourself well.

While you're resting, why don't you think of another story for us. I do love your stories.

Sweetie, I hope this finds you feeling much better and that blood pressure under control! It's cold here, too but we still have collards in the garden and a couple of heads of cabbage, too...wish I could share some good old greens and cornbread with you! Keep taking that medicine and take care of yourself, we care about you, my friend!

I'm glad you are feeling some better. We suffered from the cold during Christmas so I know what you are feeling. It gets old, really fast! I hope you have warmer temps by now.
Keep working at that blood pressure--its hard to give up the salt.
