To update my husband will be needing surgery on his leg. We do not know the date as we need to wait for the insurance approval. He is still having a great deal of pain and is ready to have it taken care of.
Karen at http://karen'skorner.blogspot.com
has tagged me for the unkonown facts about myself game How this works is that you tell 8 things you readers don't know about you and tag 8 others to play.

1.I do not drink coffee. I like to smell it but do not drink it. I have never brewed a pot.

2.I do not drive. I have never wanted to drive partly because of my height and problems with my eyesight.

3.I adore history and all things associated with it. I read everything ever written on my favorite time periods.

4.When I was in the 4th grade I said I wanted to be President when I grew up. Boy was I ahead of my times.

5.I am only 4ft.6in. tall

6.My favorite thing to do with my family is to go on a picnic. We did this alot when I was growing up and we had such a wonderful time.

7.I enjoy cooking and create alot of my own recipies.

8.I never meet a stranger. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.

I am not going to tag 8 people if you would like to play consider yourself tagged by me and please have fun with this. I did!!!

Tonight I am making twice baked potatoes for dinner.

1. start with 6 oven baked potatoes.

2. While they are still hot spoon out the inside and place in a bowl and place the skins on a baking sheet.

3.To the potatoes add butter to your taste, salt pepper, and seasoning salt also to taste.

4. Add 1/2 cup of sourcream and 3/4cup milk.Mix all together and stuff the skins with this mixture.

5. I like to cook 3 or 4 strips of bacon and place on top with two or more varieties of cheeses. Then I add chopped green onions.

6.Then bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until hot and bubbly.

7. I sometime add steamed broccoil to put on them after they come out of the oven. Add a salad and some crusty bread with BUTTER (LOL) and you have a complete dinner

Wishing you a day filled with bright sunshine and love....... Mary

Good Afternoon Mary,
I will be praying that the insurance company gets on the ball and approves this surgery for your husband. Did they give him anything for the pain? I sure hope so. "THANK YOU" for doing the Meme. I enjoyed reading your 8 things I didn't know about you. I always enjoy reading and learning things about my blogging friends. I love to cook and make up my own recipes too. Who knows, maybe someday me and you both can be on Food Network and have our own show together. LOL. That's kind of like you wanting to be President when you grew up huh? LOL. I would so love to have my own Restuarant someday, but it's only a dream of mine for now. I have had twice baked potatoes before but have never cooked them myself. Around here you can order them at a Restaurant in what they call a loaded baked potato. They have all the fixins to go on top of the baked potato. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hello Mary,
I enjoy these tags as you get to know so much about people. Like we seem to have the same taste in foods. I love twice baked potatoes. They are so yummy! Now I want some for dinner!

I bet your supper was fantastic! I'm hungry and must get some breakfast soon, but I could happily settle down to a twice-baked potato.

Love finding out more about you. I knew that you were a petite one, but had forgotten just how petite. My daughter had a teacher whom she adored and when asked why she'd say, "...because she's a little girl just like me." It must present challenges...my daughter's teacher has a kitchen completely designed for her, but everything else in her huge home isn't.

Keeping your dh on the prayer list. I hope that his surgery can be soon so that the healing can begin.

I'll keep your hubby in my prayers. I liked you eight. I did this a while back also. The potato sounds delish.

I hope all goes well with your DH. I love reading your facts. I also love the smell of coffee but I don't drink it and I also love history. History is a big thing around our house. My DD is a history major. What is your favorite time period. My is Victorian. Katie

Hi Mary,
I enjoyed reading your list and learning more about you..especially the part about being president!! Hey, at least I know you would have put God first in our country which is the problem now.

That recipe sounds yummy but I have to pass. I'm having to watch what I eat because of my blood sugar so NO potatoes for me!! I love them too..fixed just about any way!

Sorry to hear your husband has to have surgery. I'll be praying for him.
