Update and Children's church

Update on my husband's condition.
On Sunday he was getting around fairly good. The swelling semmed to have gone done some. By Monday morning the whole side of his leg had turned black even done into his foot and toes. On Tuesday he went to therapy and the therapist had some concerns and sent him back to the doctor. They think a main vein in his leg has been damaged. Because it is really swollen now. This did not show up on the MRI .The doctor say that tissue that is torn is still bleeding and it will even look worse before it gets better. Which could take up to two months. I want to thank- you all for your prayers and sweet comments and concern about him. Please continue to pray for him.
I know I have mentioned the children I work with at church many times before. These children just blow me away. I really did not want to teach Sunday after I had already taught two calsses in Sunday School. I wanted to set in church with my husband. As I would have felt bad if I had choosen to cancel Children's Church. I choose not to and to teach. I get back there and the two older children a girl and a young man were so attentive to the little children. making sure everyone had a chair (we had 14 little ones, 2youth helpers and 2 adult leaders)and getting them juice. Passing out the study sheets and the crayons and answering each child's questions.
We went around the room and each child stated their prayer request. The young man led us in prayer. He prayed from his heart!!!!! He prayed the most beautiful touching prayer I have heard in along time. In his prayer he asked God to bless each one there and the concerns of each one. He touched my heart in ways that it had not been touched in awhile. God was not through with me yet. A just turned 3 year old child, put her hand up to pray . I was thinking she would say the normal prayer of a child that age. WRONG!!! Oh how wrong was I???? She prayed for PEACE in the world and for everyone to have enough to eat. To say again I was blown away. God was still not finished, several other children pray and they were different and were so special. I did not teach these children Sunday they taught me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We do learn a lot from kids and I feel sorry for people who don't even give them the time of day...they don't know what they are missing. I'll continue to pray for that leg and the rest of both of you!

children always amaze me with the insight they have into prayer... they seem to be able to talk right to God because they know he hears them and they are not intimidated by his greatness...
I am glad you decided to have Children's Church Sunday... because you were the one who was blessed....
I am continuing to pray for your Husband...

I will keep your husband uplifted in prayer.

Jesus said that unless we become like children we will never see the kingdom of God. I, too am constantly learning from the children that surround me.

Lots of prayers for your dear husband! I remember the passage in the Bible where Jesus mentions we should all be like little children. =)

Isn't it amazing the times that we dread soing things God will make us so glad that we did? I get a sneaking blessing from Him so often. I'm glad that your heart was so open to the children. Jennifer

I'll be praying for healing for your husband.
The body is amazing! My mother-in-law broke her shoulder a couple of years ago and her whole arm turned black as could be. They did not cast it so it was in a sling. The black kind of moved down her arm and then went away as she healed. I had never seen anything like it. Her arm is good as new now...
Hope that is an encouragement.

I am very glad to find your blog.
Thanks for entering my giveaway!

Good Afternoon Mary,
I'm sorry I haven't been by sooner to visit, but I've been in and out of bed all day. It's that time of the month for me and I have a bad time with it. I will keep praying your your husband. He may need to get a second opinion from another doctor. If it doesn't get better, you might consider that idea. I'm not telling you what to do, just trying to help out in some way. Isn't it funny how we learn things from the little Children? Sometimes I wonder if GOD hears their prayers first before he does ours. I may be wrong in that, but little children are gifts from GOD and they pray from their heart. I remember when our girls were smaller and hearing them pray. It would just touch your heart and soul like it's never been touched before. It will bring chills to you. GOD is still working on me and not finished with me yet. "THANK YOU" for sharing such a beautiful and touching post. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Thanks for your sympathy - I really appreciate all the kind words right now. The loss of our puppy seems so small in comparison to what some of you are dealing with out there. I hope your husband will fare well and be healed. And I should also thank you for your time and love for the children that you teach, for they are our future. blessings to you- Vickie

Mary, I've been away but came by to catch up today and I'm sorry that your hubby is hurt! My goodness, I know it's been a scary week for you two. I loved the post about children's prayers. I always ask my son to pray for me, I know that those prayers are so innocent and pure. I pray that you and your husband have a better week and that he is better soon.

Mary, thanks for stopping by with your kind words of support. It'll get better with time, I'm sure. Just been a tough week all around. Seems like when it rains it pours, doesn't it? But God is good, and He knows what we need before we ask. Blessings to you and thanks again - Vickie
