How was your Holiday???

I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday!! We did.

We went to our oldest son's home. Had such a great time. They grilled lemon pepper chicken, fresh tomatoes out of his garden, green beans with potatoes, corn on the cob, strawberry shortcake. I made potato salad, and baked beans. I also picked up a watermelon and ice cream. So much to choose from. How Blessed we were.

I had picked up some of those glow in the dark necklaces for the kid. We turned out the lights and let them run around all you could see were the flashlights they were holding and the glow from the necklaces. It was so funny.

We set on their patio and watched so many beautiful fireworks,

My husband and I talked about what a great time we had. This was one of the the best 4th's we have had in a very long time.

It means so much to be surrounded by those you love.

Tomorrow our Granddaughter is coming to spend the night. Fun, fun times.

That sounds wonderful and the food sounds yummy. So far I am disliking this summer due to my husband's recent stroke. We are also in the 90s which I do not like at all! I'm glad you had a good weekend.

Your day sounds wonderful! Warm and happy memories for you to enjoy for years to come. I'll have to look for those kinds of necklaces...I did get bubble wands that the boys loved to pieces and lots of water balloons. We were some wet and cool after a nice water fight. :D
