Hot dogs

I had the most amazing day!!! Nothing spectacular as in wining the lottery. A day filled with many small sweet happenings.

I have not been well for a week or so and still do not know what the real problem is. Today I awoke with the promise to myself I would have a good no great day. As I was getting dressed my husband asked where are you going??? Thinking I wanted to go somewhere. I said I am going to set on our front porch. ( it was almost 70 here today). He came out with me as I set there in my rocking chair soaking up the sun, I felt so much better. I told my husband I was hungry( have been very dizzy and sick to my stomach so have not been eating much) and I knew what I wanted, A Grilled Hot dog. He got right up and fixed it for me. There we set on our porch in the sun eating hot dogs. I was so overwhelmed with happiness. In this moment of small, simple things I felt so alive and so thankful for the blessing.

Then later we went for ice-cream and a drive in the country. So much fun.

Tonight I thank my Lord for these special moments. I hope you have that kind of day tomorrow!!!!!

Hi Mary,
Oh it sounds like one of those days when you are in the moment. I think there is nothing that makes us more thankful than feeling well after having been sick. Have a beautiful day.

Yum! That sunshine did feel good!

I want to thank you for my gift which came at the exact moment I was craving chocolate!!!! Perfect!
The dark kind I've been breaking up in milk and microwaving for hot chocolate like Jojo said to.
Love the candle and the card also!
Thanks so much!!!
I was going to call...I am sick!!

Is there anything better than time on the porch eating hotdogs with your beloved who cooked it for you?! I think not. Thanks for describing your wonderful day. It would've been nearly perfect for me because it included ice cream and a drive. Those nearly 70° temps sound great, too!

Hello Dear Mary!

Sounds like a most lovely day. I am so sorry you have not been feeling well. You know sometimes you just have to "make it a great day".:o) That is the message I give to many, and it sounds like you did just that.:o)

What a sweet and loving husband you have Mary. I could picture the two of you there together on the front porch enjoying hot dogs and sharing smiles. As you know I love a long drive, so relaxing.

You take care my friend. You are indeed special. Hug the family for me. Enjoy a beautiful day.:o)

Smiles...

Isn't it nice to be able to sit outside like that and enjoy life! It's not warm enough for us to do that yet. We had good news though my husband's MRI came back fine...no vertigo in the head and no issues with the stroke, so we're very pleased. Your basket is done and the other should be done today or tomorrow. I will let you know when I mail them! It has been fun.

Well silly me, it was Nancy's I got today! Yours will still be going out tomorrow.
