Rain

It is pouring rain outside. I mean raining so hard you cannot see in front or behind you.

My husband and I walked outside to get in our car and the sun was shining. Beautiful day. Neighbors were sitting outside, some were even cooking out. As we started driving I pointed out that the sky was getting black. Within minutes it was pouring down. Raining so hard.

We continued driving, soon we had to pull off the road. Many others were pulling off also. After a bit we were able to continue on. We got to our destination. Took care of our business and were back on the road
toward home in about 15 minutes. The rain started again. About 5 miles down the road cars were stopped in the middle of the road. Over to the left was a V.W. stopped in a field. In front of it were stacks of lumber. To the right was a telephone pole. In the car was a young lady maybe 17 years old. She was not hurt and there were no other passengers in the car. The young woman was shaken and scared. There was a ditch separating me from her. I got out of my car and told her it was okay. Someone else was able to get a cell phone that was getting service. (we were in an area where we could not get service) She was able to call her Mom. The guys pushed the car out of the field. We were all standing in the pouring rain. No one seemed to care. We were so thankful she had not hit that pile of logs or the phone pole. I told her that God had blessed her. (as she was sobbing and repeating over and over I could have hit that pole). God was so good. This trip was a 20 minute drive. We had to pull off the road 7 times because of the Rain.

What an awesome God we have. I wonder how many people were blessed because of all who were traveling that road today. The young woman who was not hurt. Strangers reaching out to her, coming together to help another. I hope all of this was and will be used for God's Glory.

Thank- you Lord for arriving safely home.!!!!

We do have an Awesome God don't we. Thank God the young girl was okay!

It has been very hot here for the last week. Couple of showers this morning but nothing that added up to much.

God bless.

Scary, Mary... BUT you and others helped that young gal. Praise God for that and Praise God that she was not hurt.

The rains have been around here off and on all day also--but luckily, we didn't have anything severe.

Glad you are SAFE.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh Mary, as you tell the story I can visualize the whole thing. God is awesome and look how he rallied his angels all around her to comfort her in her time of trouble.

Mary, when I click on your link from a comment, I can't get here. Can you add me to the people allowed to come that way.

Have a beautiful day.

Wow! You had quite a rainy day adventure. I know what those torrential downpours can be like, living in Oregon where it rains a lot!!

I'm sure when you returned home you breathed a sigh of relief!? Glad you could minister to that girl...and that everyone was unhurt. Sometimes those stops in the road can cause other accidents, especially in the rain!
