Hello

Bible School is over. It was a wonderful rewarding week. The children and teachers were so awesome!!! The first night went off without a hitch. Everywhere I went I saw happy smiling faces. It was indeed a success. I told my church if we could love just one child in VBS we would achieve our goal. Folks we loved lots of children and made a difference in lots of little lives.

I have so many fond memories of this week. One really special one was last night after the party my Granddaughter was sitting in my chair in the church office and said to me Granny thank-you for this week I had so much fun. Ladies I was bone tired but my heart and spirit did flip-flops after her sweet words.

I received so many hugs and kisses. I would walk into one of the classrooms and a little one would run up to hug me. There you are they would say. I had youth thanking me for letting them help. It is I who needs to thank each of our youth for all of their hard word. We had 11 young people there every night. They were so excited to do their part. They are learning to step up and take their roles as the future leaders of our church.

We are all tired. These teachers and all involved did an awesome job. I know each and everyone were Blessed in so many ways.

I will be back visiting this week and posting. I wish each of you a beautiful week.

Well done! I know that the memories will be warm. Now your comment about youth helping reminds me that our church went to having classes for the youth instead of allowing them to help with the younger children. I thought it was a big mistake at the time; I still do.

Congrats, Mary. I surely am proud of you. I know how hard and yet how much joy comes from leading VBS. Just seeing the smiles on the children's faces makes it all worthwhile.

Hope you can get a little rest now.
Hugs,
Betsy

I have the warmest memories as a child in VBS and the teachers who guided our awkward fingers and hands in crafts...it is where I learned to knit...Mrs. Giffen...oh how I loved her!
