Squash

A sweet friend gifted me with some squash last night. The kind I call summer squash. They are the yellow crooked neck kind.

These were straight out of their garden. So fresh and tender.

I cooked them for my dinner tonight. I sauteed the squash in olive oil with some green onions (she also gifted me with). Then I cooked some spaghetti noodles. I served the vegs over the spaghetti with a splash of fresh lemon juice. This was soooo good!!

Sounds yummy! I've decided you like to cook! This is the season for all things good from the garden! There is nothing better than these wonderful fruits and vegtables straight from our Father's hand.

I just love being able to eat fresh veggies from the garden. We finally planted our garden a couple of weeks ago and it's now starting to come up but it will be a few weeks yet before anything is ready to pick. Growing season is always so late and short over here!! We don't grow squash but we do grow zucchini and I love using it for various dishes:-) xoxo

Hi Mary,
I love squash. I just found the perfect field of wild flowers nearby to paint for you. I have been busy painting all the miniatures, and the large one, and enjoying every moment.

It is so much fun to be able to create just the right flowers.

Have a lovely day.

Oh that sounds yummy! I grilled some of those sugar snap peas with some asparagus in a foil pouch and they were great...I filled up on veggies and didn't have room for my steak. I also boiled some of those lil potatoes and tossed them with some butter and dill...yum.

I love summer produce!
Hugs,
Robin
