It has been raining here again today. We have had a few days of sunshine but lots of rainy days lately. It makes me want to cozy up in my den and stay there. Last night I made a comfort food I would like to share with you.

12 oz. can V8 juice

1 beef bullion cube

Dash hot sauce

A couple of dashes of Worcestershire sauce

Put in a microwave soup mug and microwave for a minute and half.

This makes a soup like drink and can be served with crackers. It is warm and comforting.

Oh yum! That sound wonderful. I am going to try it Thursday when they tell us our beautiful 2 sunny days will be giving way to rain again. I love V-8 juice and can almost taste it with the "doctored" up version you shared in this post.

Thanks for sharing that. I've never thought about having it hot!

Speaking of showers...once at a bridal luncheon in Paducah I was served this tomato drink. I had never had it before and while it was yummy, it seemed an unusual thing to have at a bridal luncheon. At the actual wedding we had coffee punch! That was also unusual but I guess that was an element of surprise...something fun and different!

Good morning, dear Mary:-)

It's a cloudy and rainy day here too and apparently it will stay like that for the rest of the week! I just hope the grass is green by the time all of this rain ends! lol

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, it does sound delicious and would warm your insides on such a cool and miserable day:-) xoxo

It sounds good. Hope that you have found all kinds of cozy right there in your own home. Here's hoping that the sun returns soon, though. Too many rainy days in a row is, well, too many.

I truly enjoy meeting new blogfriends.
Your soup sounds so good.
It is sunny here and very dry, we need some moisture badly.
God bless.

Your drink recipe sounds so good, I'm going to copy it so I'll have it on hand for our next rainy day.

We've been having a heat wave, breaking April records. I'm off to have some lemonade.

We have slipped from 81˚ to 61˚ in just a matter of one day! Our weather is kooky! Today is overcast, cool, and cozy. Bliss! The only thing that would make it better is RAIN!

Oh happy day!

Hello Mary!

Rainy days can be very relaxing, we here in southern Cal are to get a little rain today. I am in the mist of reading a wonderful book and a little rain makes it so cozy. :o) Thank you so much for the recipe, it sounds warm and wonderful. I also love your brand new header. Philippians 4:8 is one of my favorite passages. Those simple words have brought so much healing to my life. :o) You and your sweet family enjoy a lovely weekend.

Smiles...

Beverly
