It is Cold Here!!!

What to do on a cold, windy day in March?????

Make homemade french fries and cheeseburgers for you favorite person.

Walk into your garage and find a sack of books left by a Friend and trying to figure out who left them.

When going through the sack of books finding an old friend from your childhood. Hedi by Johanna Spyri. Curling up in the corner and reading the book through and remembering when you read it for the first time. Knowing your Granddaughter will love reading it on her next visit to your home.

Getting the pamphlets for Vacation Bible School and reading them all. Trying to pick just one. Then getting so excited about this Summer time event that the children love so. I can almost hear their laughter.

Ending the day with a phone call from my sweet daughter.

Wishing you a day filled with unexpected pleasures.

Thanks for a great post.

Mary,

It's been sunny here the last few days but we've had a biting wind. Still, there are lots of things we can do to keep life from becoming hum-drum. The cheeseburgers and fries sound delicious.

Have a great week, my friend.
Blessings,
Mary

Well it is cold and windy here in Louisiana too....but I had to get out for a bit today to run a few errands. Otherwise I would have STAYED in.......brrrr.
We have a fire going in the fireplace tonight. That is ODD for us here this time of year but you never know what old man Winter is up to.
WOW it is probably about time to study for VBS...amazing how fast the year is going already.
Stay warm, and be blessed,
Joyce

Mary, I can relate to the cold. It has been sub zero here for the last four days. I'm dreaming of spring.

I remember reading Heidi and now I think I would like to read it again.

Thank you
Hugs Karen

Mary, what a wonderful day you had, filled with simple pleasures. Black Beauty didn't happen to be in that bag of books did it? Along with my Nancy Drew, and Heidi it was one of my favorite childhood books.

God bless.

That sounds like a wonderful day! I don't remember if I read Heidi, but I do remember watching the movie as a child with Shirley Temple....

Hi Mary!

Thought I'd stop by and say HI and see what you've been up to.

I enjoyed your post about baking. I'm going to try your lemon sauce recipe the next time I make gingerbread! I agree that brownies and gingerbread are better from the box. I wonder why that is?! Thanks so much for the great recipe!

I'll be so glad when spring FINALLY gets here! I think I'm sick of winter now!

Hugs, sherry
