Mary's Got A Migraine!

This is Phyllis, Mary's neighbor...she is used to me blog-jacking her on occasion :) I know she wants to be blogging (don't we all?) So I wanted to tell you that her head has been hurting since Thursday. She didn't get to teach her sunday school class this morning and I want you to cheer her up!
You know she loves to write and so for a get well gift, I want you to leave little poems for comments on this post :) When she feels well enough to read them, they should be a lot of fun!
Thank you all!

Dear Phyllis, I'm so very sorry to learn that you're suffering from a particularly nasty migraine. I so hope your meds will kick in {taking for granted that you are taking meds for it} soon and you'll soon be free of this burden.

I heard you were feeling yucky
Down & out and not quite plucky
So I send good thoughts to you
And Get Well wishes too!!

Dear Mary,
Here's my little sentiment.....

If knowing that someone cares
helps the healing process...
...then you should be
feeling better already.

Get Well Soon

Take care, dear friend.

Mary,

Migraines are so painful. I do hope this passes soon. I will try to get your book out to you this week. I'm sorry it's so late. I had planned on you having it by now but this sickness has knocked the stuffing out of me.

There was a kind lady named Mary
Who suffered from migraines so dreary.
They were nasty old things
That clipped Mary's wings
And left her feeling quite weary.

LOL All I could think of at a moment's notice.

Hugs,
Mary

Mary, I hope your migraine goes away
So that you can come and play

Not that good at writing poetry, but the sentiment is heartfelt.

Mary's got a migraine and her head
just feels so bad...
She's lying in her bed now and wishes that she had...
A laptop she could blog upon and write of her head's woe...
A migraine hurts so bad you see,
from your head to your big toe.
Oh we wish she would improve and feel so good at last...
So POOF be gone you bad migraine, well back into the past!

Feel better lovely lady...God Bless!

Hugs,
Sue

I am not good at poem writing but here is a little ditty, done to the tune of Mary had a little lamb.
Mary has a very bad headache,
it hurt her night and day.
she tried to get rid of it,
I pray that it will go away.

Now this is really lame but it may cheer her a little.

Hi Mary,
Here goes my little poem:
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I'm thinking of You...

That's the best I could do. I hope and pray that you are feeling better.
Warmly,
Deb

Dear Mary, I do hope you are starting to feel better. As I am not a poet I thought I would leave you with a beautiful winter thought

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell

take care of yourself

Awwww, you poor dear, I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Having had migraines, I sympathize with what you're going through. I do pray and hope that you'll soon be 100% better. Here's a poem for you....

When You're Not Here

When you are ill,
our sun goes under a cloud.
Your presence in our lives
is such a bright joy
that everything seems in shadow
when you're not here.
When you aren't feeling well,
we feel the lack
of your glowing energy
and contagious vitality.
When you are sick
we feel incomplete,
like a jigsaw puzzle
with a missing piece;
Please rest,
take good care of yourself,
and feel better.
We miss you
and want you back.

Get well soon. xoxo

Mary,
I am not a poet-but I know that when I am having physical problems I think of what the apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I hope that you feel better SOON.
