Santa Is Sooo Busy!!!!
I want to share a true story with you. These events took place at 7:30 A.M. this morning.
As many of you know my youngest daughter who lives in another state and town recently lost her job. She is a single Mom to our three Grandchildren. Right before she lost her job her youngest child"s teacher sent home list requesting items for the children's school Christmas Party. My daughter signed up to bring a package of juice boxes. ( cost around $2.00).
Here is the scene. She goes through all of her pockets digging up her nickles, dimes and pennies and finds just enough to get the juice boxes. With her young son in tow heads to Kroger's to buy them.
They are in line with the juice boxes and she is counting out her pennies to pay for them. My Grandson asks for a candy bar. My daughter explains to him that they are getting the juice for his party and they do not have enough money to buy candy. Behind them in line is an older man hearing all of this he hands my daughter $15.00. My daughter tells him she cannot take his money. He tells her is she does not take it he is going to give it to her son. That it is CHRISTmas and this is no big deal and gives the money to my Grandson telling him to give it to his Mommy.
My daughter begins to cry and tells him it is a big deal. She told him because of his gift she could buy milk for her children today. Then the man begins to tear up and all those around are visibly touch by what they are seeing.
My friends Santa does exist. He exists in the form of LOVE!!!!
CHRISTmas Blessings to each of you!!!!!

What a blessing this story is going to be to so many. I am blessed to pieces by it and sitting here in tears reading it. May the Lord bless you and yours today and that sweet gentleman who responded to the Holy Spirit.
Ok..you just made me cry...
really...
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Thank you for sharing this . Since Earl lost his job in September I have seen God work many times this way. His mercy and love are always with us:>)
goosebumps! I was just thinking how much I love people, how special each one is, how vulnerable, and fragile yet how strong at the same time. and I was thinking how much we need each other, and how our lives touch others when we arent even aware of it.. and I was thinking of christmas, and how blown out of proportion we let it get... and how really its just about a vulnerable baby.. and loving.. and again.. I was thinking.. how much I love people.. ( I know this all sounds wierd.. but it is exactly what I was thinking.. ) and then I read your post.. and again i thought... how much I love people!
hugs!

Hi!
Vivian just "sent" me here via my blog to read your post and her comment. I can see why.
Many times in this last week my family has been graced by the generosity of "strangers" at a time when it was truly needed. Last night, my husband checked the mail and there was an envelope from an anonymous sender with a gift our family truly needed. No name.... no one looking for a thank you, or a pat on the back.... Just a total "giving".
My gut instinct tells me it is one or more of my many online friends, but I don't suppose I will ever know.... What I do know is that it is the Lord who has brought us to this point in time. It is He who inspired the kindness, and He who knows where the need is and provides.
This will always be a special Christmas in our lives. Not because of "what we have", but because of LOVE.
Your daughter and her precious children are in my prayers.
Christmas Hugs... *Linda*
What a sweet story and how wonderful that the Father God chose to bless your daughter that way..... He is ever mindful of us and HE uses the love in others hearts to touch our lives........... Christmas ........ HE came into our lives and HE touches our souls........
Hi Mary,
I call that a Christmas angel:) How awesome for your daughter and son to see how kind a stranger can be.
Merry Christmas Mary!!

Lovely story. I am sorry for your daughter's hardship but through it all she still is cared about by God "The Father" isn't she? And what a great example to her son who was with her.
I love when those kinds of things happen.....they've happened to me too so I know how it feels.
And it is AWESOME!

Mary,
Of course Santa exists. He is the Spirit of CHRISTmas and God sent an angel to supply your daughter's needs.
I was a single mother for 17 years, my friend, and I also was blessed one Christmas with a visit from an angel.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. My wish for you is love, laughter and joy this Christmas season. May 2009 bring you love, good health, prosperity and joy.
Hugs,
Mary

YES INDEED! This is the Christmas Spirit! I love it! My husband and I witnessed this over and over during our recovery from the loss of his business. And, we have had many opportunities to pay it forward! When people don't want to receive the gift, I tell them that they are robbing me of a blessing. We can't give without getting blessed.
Thanks so much for sharing this story!

Oh this made me cry too! God is so amazing and I am truly blessed by reading this post.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I have to second Vee's comments as well. Blessings to you, your family and to that dear man for listening and acting in his name.
Hugs,

I love this story and I believe angels are sent. I too had an angel in line behind me at the grocery once when we had it really bad years ago. I was buying one thing...a very cheap brand and priced bag of dog food for our two big old dogs and I ended up still being $1.00 short. As I was counting out all the change I could gather in the bottom of my purse hoping to find the needed $1.00 more the man in back of us paid for the dog food and bought my son who was in tow (just like your grandson) a candy bar and then he handed me a $20.00 bill and said I should not even say thank you (I did anyway, a million trillion times!). He explained that he had been in dire need many times in his life and knew that $20.00 can seem like $200 dollars at certain times in your life. He said he would not even miss a $20 dollar bill and was happy to share it.
Thanks for telling the wonderful story!!!!
Amy
Oh thank-you for sharing this story which has warmed my heart this morning.... What a reminder for all of us--to keep our eyes opened for those in need and to meet needs whenever we can. Blessings, Debra
