She Doesn't Know Her Own Strength!

Hi All!
This is a blog-jacking by Phyllis at http://shabbyinthecity.blogspot.com/ ...Mary has been waiting for this... It was Thursday or Wednesday or something when I had some ladies over to cook and to scrap...
Mary had her pack of papers she had won on the blog and couldn't wait to make something incredible!
I pulled out my tag stamping die-cut thing and it blew Mary away! She hadn't experienced this particular piece of machinery as of yet and it was obvious she was in love. "But Phyllis where'd my paper go?" she said, as I opened the back and she saw her half-stamped papers fall out..."stand up Mary and press really hard on it" I said, meaning it. So Mary stood up and pressed and lightning flashed in a kind of "Back To The Future" kind of display! This time there were no half-stamped tags, no sir! The paper was stuck tight and nothing was coming out.

I forgot about 'Ol Mare for awhile because I was making Teresa Sheeley's potato/onion recipe http://teresaksheeley.typepad.com/ and couldn't be tugging on paper at that time...
By the time I got back to the situation, Mary was worried sick she had destroyed my toy and was vowing and declaring to buy me a new one. "I BROKE IT!" she exclaimed. "No you didn't Mary, and I wouldn't care if you did!", I said. Thats when Mary pulled out a straw from somewhere and started digging in my stamper...

I finally convinced her to put the troublesome toy away and eat some potatoes. I have my priorities straight and I think Mary has forgotten the whole paper-snagging fiasco for now.
I sent her home with a bag of apples and some books from the Salvation Army...that should keep her mind occupied for awhile, don't you think?
BIRTHDAY GIRL TODAY!!!! Happy day to you Mary...read on readers...she has posted below...

What fun, and those stamping things always get jammed with little bits of paper. Your story is so much fun, and I can almost taste that soup. Have a lovely day.

If you're going to be blognapped, Miss Shabby is the one to do it! My paper punches get stuck all the time. Sometimes I have to punch through tin foil for awhile to get those jaws of punching life back in gear. And, yes, one does need to throw their weight into those things!

Oh happy day!
