Vacation Bible School

This next week (July 21-25) will be Vacation Bible School at our Church.

On Sunday the 20th we will be doing church wide visitation through out our town. On Monday the 21st we will be meeting with the teachers and helpers to finalize our plans. Our VBS is a three day teaching one. We will be using a kit called God's Big Back Yard. The three lessons we have chosen are Baby Moses, Zacchaeus and the tree, and The Good Samaritan.

On Friday night we will have an old fashion carnival for the children with a popcorn machine, cotton candy machine, of course now the ever popular bouncer. There will also be a train pulled by lawn mowers for the children to ride in.

Our missions theme is Community helpers so our local fire and police departments are coming also.

Please pray that we will be able to reach these children in our community. That we will be able to make a difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

Please pray for all of our adults who are working with these children. That God will give them all the tools they need to plant seeds in his garden. May God have all the Glory!!!!!

Most of all pray that we love these children and let them see God's love through us.

What fun you will have! I taught the art lessons at our church's VBS last year. It was often exhausting for an old lady like me *grin* but I loved every minute! Grace so loved VBS too.
This year we can not be a part becasue we have friends from Germany arriving for a visit the week VBS starts.
Have fun Mary!!

I was away and am trying to catch with everyone...I hope all is well for you!

Love,
Sue

I will pray for you, Mary. It's really neat that you are involved with this event. I'm sure the attendees glean quite a bit from your Godly counsel!

We don't have VB at our church. We have a Kid's Crusade that goes on for 4 evenings. Often, they bring in a Christian ventriloquist to deliver the Gospel messages. She is remarkable.

Have a grand and glorious weekend!

In my younger years, I always LOVED VBS! I taught and directed it for many years, but have since passed the torch to those younger and more energetic than myself. : )

So glad you found my blog. You have a sweet spirit and a precious family. I look forward to getting to know you in the coming days. God's blessings. I will pray for you and your husband. {{hugs))
