Good Tuesday Morning

I hope all of you are having a great Tuesday!!!!!
Last week in VBS we registered 90 children and youth with 32 adult workers. It was an amazing time!! The theme was God's Big Back Yard. We learned about Baby Moses, and the Good Samaritan. The children learned in missions how they could be a part of God's big back yard by helping others. They were encouraged to do service projects for friends, family and others in their community. Our group project was collecting school supplies for those in need of these things. We received enough supplies and money to buy 15 backpacks and fill them. I am so proud of this group of children and adults.
On Friday night we had a carnival for them. We served popcorn, cotton candy and soft drinks. We had a bouncer slide, a train pulled with a riding lawn mower for the children to ride in.
Since we learned about ways that people help in our community we had the police and fire department to come and talk with the kids. They got to set in the firetruck and blow the horn. It was a great time for all.
For me I learned to step aside and let the Lord lead me to do his work for him and to his Glory!!
Have a great day overflowing with joys and blessings!!!!!!

Mary - thanks so much for playing "pay it forward". Now I just need for you to send me your address and I'll be sending out something very special to you.

Also, add the Pay it Forward to your blog and 3 people will play...and so on. You can just copy it from my blog if you'd like.

Take care and hugz,

I loved Vacation Bible School as a young girl and then teaching in it later. I am so glad that you all had such a very good one. Once I won a ride in our city fire truck for inviting the most people to VBS. It was one of my best memories. Have a great day. connie from Texas

I am so glad that ya'll had a great turn out and that the giving will continue with the supplies that ya'll were able to purchase.
I know that the children will continue to think of the fun they had for a long time to come. And the seeds that were planted will bring great glory to our Father.
Thanks for stopping by and offering to pray.

It sounds like your Bible School was a success. Ours was last week also, and they had a good number out. I was there one evening doing some paper work for the craft director and I was floored at how many workers were there. As you mentioned, you had a good number of helpers also.

I could see the excitement between workers and thought to myself, this is a marvelous experience for all of the helpers--they are building relationships, they are having real fellowship, they are experiencing God together in intimate ways--it is wonderful to see people pull together for God's glory. I felt I had missed something holy by not being there all week.

I'm so glad you were able to be part of it. I know you were a blessing and you were blessed also!

I've missed your posts. I've checked three times, I think. So it will be a blessing to enjoy your posting again.

No tv for two days, except for a little bit while I ate my lunch today. I'm feeling very good about that! Just finished a second book. Now I have to finish "What's So Amazing about Grace". I've worked on that one for quite a while.

Enjoy your week.

Warmly,
Joan

I love your new Daisy avitar Mary. I am so thrilled that you were so successful last week. Why do we worry so much, when we just let the Holy Spirit lead the way, and give it to the Lord...he comes up with avenues we would never have discovered otherwise. Happy Tuesday. Blessings, Karen

When I used to be a stay at home mom, I used to run the arts and crafts program for our vacation bible school for quite a few years. Always a bit stressful, but so rewarding! Kind of miss those days now!
glad you are able to participate and enjoy the children!
