A Glorious Morning!

I just returned from my dog (Jack Russell Terrier) taking me for a 45 minute walk-pull. Which I enjoyed so much.

It was so invigorating!!!! As I walked past each house this was my opportunity to pray for those who lived inside and what challenges lie behind those doors. It was also a good time for me to pray for my friends and family.

I plan on doing this each day weather permitting. It has made such a difference in my day. I came back ready to tackle the issues of my day and chores I needed to attend to.
I think this is something I must do for myself. For health issues as well as my alone time and my special time with our Lord.

Have a fabulous weekend........Mary

So funny, I have a dog that can do the same for me and I should try that. Dan and I do try to walk in the evenings but we get so busy sometimes it is days in between. Sounds like a nice way to start the day. Have a great weekend!!!

Walking is not only good for your health, it's also good for your mind:-) When I go for a walk on my own, I often solve problems in my head and feel such a sense of peace by the time I get home. My prayers are continuing for your son..hope that leg of his completely heals soon! xoxo

Mary what a great idea to pray for those in your neighborhood as you pass ....sounds like you are a blessing to them and they probably don't even realize it.

Thank you, Mary, for a wonderful idea! I still have my youngest at home, but hubby bought me a jogging stroller so I can do the fast'walk around the neighborhood with my little boy! =) I find the fresh air and quiet does a body wonders (I don't take any music with me - I just "listen" for God's voice)! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog -- you are such a dear! I decided not to publish the comments to that post, as they are coming from my sweetest blog friends are very sincere and special. Have a lovely Sunday!

We say a prayer at school some mornings about not taking the time to pray and how it affects our day. Prayer starting the day is something I have done for a while now and it really makes a difference.

God bless.

Hi Mary! I didn't realize that you had a JRT!! I do, too. How hyper is yours?!?! Love the idea of a walk-pull. Only another JRT owner could fully grasp the meaning of that!!LOL

What a beautiful heart and spirit you have to pray for your neighbors that way. I pray for YOU that God will prosper you in your walks and allow you to see answered prayers.

Be blessed Mary.

A wonderful way to start the day....with prayer AND exercise! If I see a beautiful tree I always think of praying...I have some trees I call prayer trees....it has something to do with the structure of the tree that reminds me to pray.

Thanks for the inspiration, DebraK

A WALK-PULL WITH A MISSION! I love it! I am always trying to prompt myself to pray for what I see and know. We can't save the world, but I do believe that God gives us responsibility for what has been placed in our path. I have cried many times going down a freeway for an accident or the countenance of a stranger.

Love, KJ

Mary, I read what you wrote about your grandmother and poenies, and well I just wonder if she might be thinking about you right now. Because when I wrote that post and photographed the peonies, I felt very inspired. As I created the little ballerina's I just couldn't get you out of my mind. That is why I wrote to you about your grand daughters. Mary, I think you Grandmother is trying to get a message to you...just to let you know that she is watching over you still. Our angels are always around us. Perhaps your grandmother is sipping tea right this minute in heaven discussing us both. Blessings, Karen
