SCALLOPED POTATOES

My son is here visiting and this is one of his favorite things to eat.
Scalloped potatoes
3tbsp. butter
2/3 cup minced onoins
3tbsp. all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups of milk
4 medium potatoes.
I double this recipe..............
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On top of stove over medium heat in medium size saucepan cook the onions in the butter until tender. Stir in the flour. salt, and pepper until blended, Gradually stir in the milk and cook, stiring constantly, until mixtures thickens. In a casserole dish arrange half the potatoes in a layer; pour half the sauce on top;and repeat the layering. Bake loosely covered for 45 mins. Uncover and bake 15 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender..........Enjoy!!!!

Thank you so much for visiting my new blog. It's still all new and confusing to me, but I'm up to the challenge of learning, LOL!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I was enjoying listening to your music when I decided to post. I haven't figured out music yet.

The scalloped potatoes sound so good. I haven't had them in ages as my hubby is trying to loose weight and shies away from potatoes (unfortunately). Maybe I could just make a batch for myself! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

We love scalloped potatoes here as well. Sometimes I add a layer of ham just to make it a main dish casserole. Hmmm, it's really good.

Hi Mary,
I'm trying to catch up with everybody tonight. I'm behind in my blogging and visiting! :o)

I love scalloped potatoes and also potatoes of any kind. Your recipe looks good. Unfortunately I'm trying to get my blood sugar level straightened out and can't eat them..at least not right now. Sigh!

Hugs,
Hope

Good Morning Mary,
Oh my, your Scalloped Potatoes sounds so good. "THANK YOU" for sharing the recipe with us. I have never made homemade Scalloped Potatoes before. I have only made them from the box. LOL. I know I'm a bit on the lazy side, but sometimes I like the easy way out of doing things. I hope you have a great visit with your Son. How is your hubby doing? Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Yummy, I will have to give this a try. I am craving potato and leek soup with all the cold weather that we have here.
