CROSS

From the Dogwood Tree it came,
Once adorned with blossoms of white
Leaves of Green

Down it was felled,
Laid to season.

Changed from green to brown
Fashioned into lumber.

Wood was taken,
Made into a cross

Through the streets ,
Our Lord drugged it.

With nails through his flesh,
Upon it he was placed to die for our sins.

Taken down from it,
Laid in a grave stone placed to seal the entrance.

HE AROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cross I cherish,
For my salvation it bought!!!

Wow Mary, how powerful this is! Thank you for putting things into perspective for us all. The true meaning of a holiday often gets lost in the hype. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Good Afternoon Mary,
This is such a beautiful and meaningful post you wrote and shared. I am so not worthy of HIS love and all HE does for me, but I "PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME" for everything HE has done for me and my Family. I got up this morning around 10:10a.m. when my DH called me. I am still having my coffee. LOL. Maybe come Monday I can be back on my regular schedule again. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
