Emily!!! Emily!!! Wake up my dear. Oh Miss Emily are you alright? William was standing over her and Henry was on his knees kneeling beside her. Move !! Move!! Make room .Give her some air: said Adam. Then with one swift movement he reached down and swooped her into his arms. Taking her to a near by church pew and placing his coat beneath her head.
Sir if you do not mind I brought Miss Emily to this dance and my Mother and I will see to her needs; stated Henry. Oh but I do mind, Sir if you recalled there is the matter of the box lunch I just purchase and I intent to eat it with Miss Emily. I see said Henry. When Miss Emily awakes I will be taking her home.
This is enough of this nonsense, spoke up Amanda. William pick up Emily and take her to my home. All of you move out of his path now!!! I will care for her. The poor girl has had enough for one night. Come Victoria we are going to home. Henry you go on and help count all the monies from the night. Adam I am sure you will enjoy your meal just the same by yourself. Come alomg William.
After William carefully placed Emily upon the bed Amanda dismissed him with a wave of her hand. That will be all for now. Thank-you William you get on back to the church where you are needed.
Mrs. Amanda asked Victoria, is my Mother going to be alright?
Oh yes dear just place that cool cloth upon her forehead and I will put the smelling salts under her nose.
What happened Emily mummers as she is trying to wake up? Welcome back my dear. You fainted. Mamma I was so worried about you. I am fine my sweet child everything is okay.
Emily you see to have caused quite a stir tonight. Poor Henry is beside himself. Amanda I am so sorry. Amanda lets out a very unlady like laugh. You have nothing to feel sorry for. It is good to shake things up and to let my Henry know he is not the only fish in the sea. Amanda I can't believe you said that. I am so embrassed. I will be the talk of the town tommorrow.
That my dear is money in the bank. What on earth are you talking about Amanda? I had several ladies commenting on my new frock and asked if I could get them an appointment with you for a fitting. My dear we are in buisness.
In buisness. I told you I would need some time to think on the matter. Better think fast cause after tonight they will be lined up outside my door come morning.
My head hurts. This is all too much to think about now!!!!
