The Kiss

As they slipped out of Victoria's bedroom thoughts were racing through their heads. Henry told Emily that he had some surprises for Victoria in his buggy. As he put his coat on He noticed that Emily was staring at him. Oh my he thought. When he returned with his arms loaded down with the beautifully wrapped gifts and all the food for the larder Emily was speechless. Henry you are way to kind to us. I just wanted to make this a special Christmas for you and Victoria. I have a confussion to make. What? When you had to leave I went and bought the doll you wanted for Victoria.Henry you didn't. I could kiss you. Why don't you then. Henry slipped his arm around Emily's tiny waist, she melted iinto his arms. The kiss held all the happiness of two lonely people who had finally found love. Emily you and Victoria are what I am missing in my life. If you will have me I would like to marry you and take care of you and sweet Victoria. Oh yes Henry I will marry you. What a Christmas Victoria was going to have the doll of her dreams and a Father!!!
