Surprises

This has been a day of wonderful surprises. This morning was my husbands first day of a 10 day vacation. Our youngest daughter called andasked her Dad to come by the little country store where she works. So he did . They had made homemade smoked sasuage. This is something my husband really [I mean really] likes. So we purchase two sacks of this divine sasuage. {I am sure Mike's doctor is not reading this post]LOL Then after a very pleasent drive in the country I come home to another wonderful surprise. Phyllis had been here and left pictures of my Daughters children. They had been at two different Birthday parties but at the same place a week or so ago and she made these pictures for me. My daughter did a good job of keeping the secret. So now I am going to turn it around on her and copy these pictures and frame them for her for Christmas. Thanks Phyllis as always you are so thoughtful. This made not seem like a biggie to you but another thoughtful friend that I attend church with left a big sack of used Christmas cards. I was thrilled. Our Children's Church group and Missions Friend class has been making Christmas cards to send to the missionaires. We just finished making 60 of these cards. We are now planning on making 120 of these for the nursing home in our county. We take these used cards using scrapbooking scissors and cut all the useable parts of them including the verses . Then the children using card stock design these handmade cards. This is such a blessing for those of us who are working with these sweet children to see all the love they put into making these cards. I pray the ones reciving them will recieve a Blessing from them. So as you can see I have had a Blessed day.

Surprise blessings are the best of all! I just know that you'll enjoy every moment of the next 10 days. We sorta recycle all our old Christmas cards too. We make them into a garland of sorts. I'm sure that the children and the receivers are blessed by the cards they make. -Polly
